Journey beginnings
We finally made it out of Petal, MS. It took us a little longer then we expected when we first got there. So OK, it took us a about 6 years longer but we made it. Larry is laughing, “made it to where?” Monroe, LA Ha, ha, ha.
This has not been a very good day at all, it started with our hitch not co-operating, we eventually got the trailer hooked up and got on the way after 10AM - way too late. Then our electric cord that hooks into the truck kept coming undone which meant we had no break lights or blinkers so we had to make frequent stops and hook it up again. And if that was not enough our check engine light came on and stayed on for the rest of the day. Of course that made us just a bit nervous. We stopped for gas in Monroe and Larry met a man named Harold who told us bout this RV Park where h and his wife Alberta were staying, so Larry and I decided since it was already 4PM by then to follow him to Shiloh RV Park. What a great decision.
Once we had the trailer unhooked our check engine light went off and we had a very good and informative visit with Harold and Alberta. After a good meal at Copeland’s we are looking forward to a relaxing evening and a good night sleep. Tomorrow will be better!
